United Church of Christ
United in Spirit and inspired by God’s grace, we welcome all, love all, and seek justice for all.
The Minnesota Conference United Church of Christ (UCC) equips a courageous Church alive with Christ’s transforming love.
Sandy joined the Conference staff in June 2015, one week before the Annual Meeting! In her position, she provides administrative support to the Conference Minister and for faith formation, finance, and development staff.
She previously worked for 14 years as an office administrator at Bethel Lutheran Church, a thriving congregation in Northfield, as a director of an adult daycare facility and two homes for people with early Alzheimer’s. She also managed antique malls in Texas and started her career in banking.
Sandy grew up in Medford, Minnesota, and attended Dakota County AVTI to focus on accounting. Over the years, she has served on many boards and committees in her community.
She is inspired by serving in a position that is a calling, not just a job, knowing that her work matters, whether it is creating registration forms, tracking data, or interacting with others.
Outside of work, she and her husband are self-proclaimed “fishing fools!” They love the many beautiful lakes and rivers in the state where they can fish for whatever is biting. She is also passionate about volunteering with her local food shelf, hospice and Ronald McDonald House. She and her husband Donnie have been married for seven years and between them share seven wonderful children and three grandchildren.
