Rev. Kevin Brown
Associate Conference Minister of Faith Formation for Children & Youth
Kevin Brown serves Associate Conference Minister for Faith Formation with Children & Youth. In this role he supports all aspects of the Conference’s program ministries with children, youth, and families and coordinates training, continuing education and development opportunities for adults engaged in faith formation ministries in local congregations.
He received his Master of Divinity degree from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis. Since 2004, he has served in a variety of roles in local congregations within the UCC, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and the Alliance of Baptists. Prior to joining the Conference staff, Kevin served as Director of Faith Formation with Mayflower UCC in Minneapolis, Union Congregational UCC in St. Louis Park, and Judson Church in Minneapolis.
In addition to these roles, Kevin has served in leadership with a variety of ecumenical and wider Church collaborative groups: TRUST Youth, ConNext, the Network of Wider Church Youth Ministries. He is also a trained facilitator for Our Whole Lives (OWL), coordinates the Conference’s facilitator preparation for OWL, and is a staunch advocate for comprehensive sexuality education in local faith communities and the wider community.
Beyond his vocational endeavors, Kevin enjoys listening to and making music, cooking (and eating), watching movies (or bingeing a series or two), and hanging out with his spouse Monica, their four young adult children, and their rescued golden retriever, Darcy.
