Children and youth are the future of our church, and in the Minnesota Conference UCC they are a valued part of our present.
We engage youth in mission and worship through faith formation activities and leadership development. We also support clergy and lay leaders who work with youth through training and resources.
FourTHursdays – Conversations with clergy, lay staff, and volunteers engaged in faith formation
Advocacy & Resourcing for Faith Formation Leaders: Connecting with the Association of United Church Educators
October 28, noon-1:30 pm via Zoom
Gather on Zoom for conversation, questioning, and shared resourcing within a supportive community of colleagues. Registered participants for each gathering will receive a free book or other ministry resource.
For 50 years the Association of United Church Educators (AUCE) has been and continues to be “a national voice that advocates for excellence in faith formation and education ministries in the United Church of Christ for people of all ages.” By creating networks for connection, hosting national and regional gatherings, and curating a rich and diverse collection of online faith formation and education resources for local congregational and other leaders, AUCE serves as a primary support and resource for clergy, staff, and volunteer leaders working in a variety of ministry settings.
We are delighted to have members of the AUCE board of directors join us for our October FourTHursday gathering. Come to hear about the current work, gatherings, and resourcing that AUCE is engaging. Also, come to learn about the may ways that AUCE continues to advocate for faith formation ministry leaders at all levels of the denomination and beyond. Bring your questions about current trends and challenges and be prepared to engage in a generative conversation about faith formation ministry within the United Church of Christ and beyond.
Each registered participant will receive a 1-year membership in AUCE, thanks to generous support from the Ashley Endowment of the Minnesota Conference UCC. Other Resources
