First Congregational Church of Winona Helps Lead Effort to Clear $2 Million in Medical Debt

The five faith communities raised $15,000 and, through a partnership with the New York-based nonprofit RIP Medical Debt, purchased and cleared medical debt in bulk across both states.

Answering the Call for Reparations

At its 2019 Annual Meeting, the Minnesota Conference voted to begin a process of reparations with approval of a resolution. The newly formed Amos Task Force has stepped into this work, choosing two Indigenous organizations for reparations funding.
