Global Ministries Mission Co-Workers will be in Minnesota during August and September, reconnecting with family, visiting local churches, and taking time to rest from their faithful but challenging work on our behalf. Monica and Tom Liddle, mission co-workers with the Protestant Church in East Timor (IPTL), are here now, with their children Hannah and Simon. Monica is a doctor, working with the Clinic Immanuel in Lospalos. Staff training and development are important parts of her work, as well as direct patient care. Seeking out and treating TB patients has been a priority, as well as working with public health officials. Tom has been providing leadership and support for the IPTL’s grassroots training program to equip leaders with pastoral skills for religious and community leadership as well as his duties of preaching and leading Bible studies weekly.
Here is the Liddles’ schedule as of right now:
Sunday, August 26 in Fargo, ND
Sunday, September 2 at UCC of New Brighton
Sunday, September 9 at Peace UCC, Duluth
Sunday, September 16 at First Congregational in Zumbrota
Wednesday, September 19 at First Congregational UCC in Cannon Falls
If your church or church-related organization would like to host the Liddles during the week from mid-August to mid-September, please contact Glen Herrington-Hall (via email) or by phone at 651-757-0314). Glen is coordinating their schedule on behalf of the Global Partnerships Team. We will provide an updated schedule for the Liddles’ itinerary each week in COMMAntary.
Rev. Loren McGrail is returning from her time serving as a Global Ministries Missioner in Palestine. She has a powerful story to tell as she visits Minnesota from September 21 to October 3.
