2018 Pilgrim Point Survey

We need to hear from you! As part of our ongoing efforts to provide sustainable, vital, and relevant outdoor ministry opportunities, the Conference Board of Directors and Pilgrim Point Camp Committee invite you to participate in a survey.

Pilgrim Point is an integral part of the Conference’s ministries. Each year hundreds of guests come to experience the wonder of this beautiful space and the radical welcome of community. As part of a larger market assessment and study, this survey will help Conference leadership consider how best to develop a sustainable model for outdoor ministries moving forward.

Please give a few minutes of your time to share your experience of Pilgrim Point Camps & Retreats and, more broadly, your hopes and dreams for the Conference’s outdoor ministry programs. Whether you are a frequent participant in Pilgrim Point programs or someone who has never been to camp, we need your input and perspective.

We are working with Kaleidoscope to conduct the survey and other market analyses. Kaleidoscope is a national firm that specializes in providing consulting and planning for camp and retreat centers, including many mainline churches. The Minnesota Conference has a long standing relationship with Kaleidoscope.

In 2010, Kaleidoscope conducted a conference wide survey seeking input from church members and leaders regarding their experience and hopes for outdoor ministry. This survey was instrumental in helping identify key facilities improvements and program enhancements that the Conference implemented at Pilgrim Point. The 2018 survey will be similar to the one conducted in 2010 and will allow Kaleidoscope to update the study and assess the needs and desires of our churches and members.

The survey will be available for your reply beginning March 1st and will be live through March 23.  It will be created as a Survey Monkey form, easy to use and convenient for all to access. Look for more details and weekly reminders in upcoming issues of COMMAntary. Please contact Kevin Brown, Associate Conference Minister of Faith Formation for Children & Youth with any questions or to learn more about the survey process.

Thank you for joining us in the work of developing a sustainable future for outdoor ministries within the Minnesota Conference.
