2011 Participants had this to say about their experience with certification school…

“A life-changing week that is going to help me do my ministry in better ways”

“I feel reinvigorated, refreshed, and with new tools for my work.”

“I was skeptical about going, but I’m so glad i did. It was a God-filled amazing experience!”

Coming again August 12-17, 2012

Who should go to Certification School?

Clergy who work with youth and families, full-time and part-time youth directors, youth ministry volunteers and seminary students who are wanting greater skills in ministering with youth and families

What is involved in Certification School?

Six days of initial instruction around the field of youth and family faith formation, 6 webinars for practical
ministry application, a closing retreat to present and gain feedback from ministry plans each student develops, individualized coaching and team coaching for your church staff.

Is there a proven track-record of success?

Over 800 youth ministry workers have already been trained through a similar certification school directed by Vibrant Faith Ministries (VFM) and Wartburg Theological Seminary. We have adapted the course, which was mainly geared to Lutherans, using VFM staff but changing some of the content and worship experiences offered to reflect a progressive Christian faith perspective and have a much more UCC feel.

Who is involved in making Certification School happen?

The MN Conference UCC, the Iowa Conference UCC, United Theological Seminary, and Vibrant Faith Ministry are all collaborating to make this certification school happen. Seminary credit can be available for UTS students.
